Oat Bites Recipe

An alternative to industrialized snacks? Natural ingredients? Easy and quick to make?

Meet my newest addiction!

Snack time is usually tricky. We are often on the go, unprepared and when hunger hits, we reach fore something packaged and industrialized. It is also often the case that we get bored with the same snacks over and over, so I’ll share with you an easy and delicious recipe!

As I have told you in my welcome post, I am currently studying Sports Nutrition at PlantLab school and this was one of the first recipes I made. Personally I love every ingredient in this recipe so there was no way I could go wrong!

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup raw, rolled oats (gluten free if possible)
  • 1 date
  • 1 Β½ tablespoon of almond butter (or more if you wish)
  • Cinammon and Vanilla powder to taste

Optional:

add other nuts like pecan, walnuts, or even use different nut butters like macadamia butter

and/or

add any superfood like maca for example (however, if you are going to use maca, do not consume at night because it can give you a kick of energy).

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in food processor until smooth past is created. Roll into small balls with the palm of your hands and enjoy!

Bonus: sprinkle some coconut flakes like I did.

Try it out at home and let me know what you think! Do not be afraid to play with the ingredients.
